At HeyVenues, we love shining a light on great venue partners and teams who consistently go above and beyond and Vine Tree are exactly that. Having worked closely with them for a number of years through both our sister company Arctic Fox Events and now HeyVenues, they have become a trusted go to when sourcing standout properties for our clients.
From seamless communication to an incredibly thorough and proactive approach, the Vine Tree team always make the venue finding process feel effortless. Their portfolio features some fantastic properties and together we’ve collaborated on some brilliant events over the years. We recently caught up with the team to talk all things venues, events and what makes the properties they represent so special.
What types of events are your venues best suited for?
Our hotel collection is particularly strong for corporate events that are looking for more than just functional meeting space. We represent a number of beautiful independent hotels across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond, that are ideal for conferences, leadership retreats, incentive programmes, gala dinners and multi-day residential events.
For example, Castleknock Hotel works brilliantly for larger conferences and incentive groups thanks to its extensive event facilities, golf course, spa and easy access to Dublin city centre, while University Arms offers something much more boutique and experience-led, right in the heart of Cambridge with the city literally on your doorstep.
We also represent hotels like THE PIG properties, which are perfect for smaller leadership retreats, private dining events and team gatherings where food, surroundings and atmosphere become part of the experience itself. Across the collection, there’s a real focus on venues with personality, strong hospitality and a genuine connection to their destination.
Is there a particular venue or space in your collection that always gets a great reaction from clients?
There are many, and usually it’s the spaces that feel the most unique and immersive. Clients love venues where there’s an immediate sense of arrival and atmosphere.
The stunning Ballrooms at The Landmark London always creates a real wow moment, particularly for gala dinners and large-scale events, while ss Rotterdam is unlike anywhere else in our portfolio, hosting an event on a historic ship in Rotterdam instantly gives delegates a completely different experience.
We also see huge reactions to destinations themselves. Hotels like WestCord Hotels offer clients the opportunity to experience different parts of the Netherlands beyond Amsterdam, including the Wadden Islands, which brings a much more authentic and memorable feel to incentive programmes and retreats.

What kind of experience do you aim to create for event bookers and guests?
We always aim to create experiences that feel authentic, memorable and connected to the destination. Because many of the hotels we represent are independent, they naturally bring far more personality and individuality to events.
Whether it’s the relaxed countryside atmosphere at Tewinbury Farm Hotel, the beautiful spa and event spaces at Sopwell House, or the coastal charm of The Grand Hotel Malahide, we want guests to feel genuinely connected to where they are, whilst ensuring events feel seamless, personal and full of character.
How did you first hear about HeyVenues?
Vine Tree has worked with the team at Arctic Fox for a number of years, during which time we have received some excellent enquiries and secured valuable bookings for our hotel partners within the Vine Tree collection. We were introduced to the Hey Venues initiative during its inception stage and have since worked closely with the team to successfully onboard our UK venues onto the platform.
What made you decide to list your venues on the platform?
For us, it was important to work with a platform that feels professional, trusted and genuinely connected to the events industry. We represent a carefully curated collection of independent hotels, so partnering with a platform that shares those values and gives venues strong visibility to the right audience felt like a very natural fit.
How did you find the onboarding and uploading process?
The process was straightforward and well supported by the Hey Venues team throughout. During the process, our feedback was received positively and addressed in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Was there anything about the platform that stood out positively to you?
As we work with a wide range of platforms, we found the Hey Venues platform to be particularly well considered and thoughtfully designed. It effectively caters to many different event types, while ensuring that only events suitable for an individual property are linked. This makes the enquiry process far more targeted, resulting in higher-quality and better-qualified enquiries for our hotels.
What do you think event bookers are looking for most when searching for venues at the moment?
We’re seeing event bookers place huge importance on venues with personality, authenticity and a real sense of experience. Clients want venues that feel memorable and connected to the destination, alongside flexibility, strong service and spaces that encourage genuine connection and wellbeing for delegates.
Are there any event trends you’re seeing more of this year?
We’re definitely seeing a shift towards more experience-led and destination-focused events, with clients looking for venues that offer a real sense of place alongside the business element. There’s also growing demand for outdoor space, wellness and more relaxed environments for networking and collaboration.
Do you have any exciting plans, launches or upcoming developments you can share?
We have some really exciting developments happening across the collection this year, particularly around wellness and destination-led experiences. One of the biggest highlights is that we’ll soon be welcoming a new hotel group in Portugal, a hugely in-demand destination for corporate events and incentives, which we’re very excited about, and of course we’re looking forward to showcasing them on Hey Venues very soon.
The Landmark London is also launching a beautiful new spa this summer, while Tewinbury Farm Hotel continues to enhance its wellness offering, reflecting the growing demand for events that combine business with wellbeing and outdoor experiences.
Finally, which of your venues do you think everyone should have on their radar right now and why?
The Grand Hotel Malahide is definitely one to watch following its multi-million-pound refurbishment. Just outside Dublin, it offers the perfect balance of accessibility, coastal charm and fantastic event space, giving delegates a much more destination-led experience.
Killashee Hotel is another standout. Set within 55 acres of beautiful grounds just 40 minutes from Dublin, it offers impressive conference capacity for up to 800 delegates, alongside significant recent refurbishment and the addition of The Reserve for leadership retreats and exclusive-use experiences.
We also think THE PIG hotels continue to be hugely exciting for the events market because they offer something genuinely authentic and connected to the destination. From their famous 25-mile menus and Kitchen Gardens, to garden tours and seasonal experiences, they create relaxed, memorable environments that feel far removed from a traditional corporate setting.
